Physical development: Staff are trained in Development Movement Play and acknowledge the body as a child's first home and movement as a child's first language (Penny Greenland, Jabadao).
Communication and Language: Staff use training from Makaton, Elklan, National Literacy Trust and Speech & Language Services to assess and promote children's speech, language and communication.
Personal, Social and Emotional development: Staff use their knowledge of child development, child psychology, behaviour theories and 'Thrive' activities to promote children's sense of belonging, self esteem and confidence.
We use tapestry to record the children's learning journeys.
We follow our own unique pedagogy.
Activities are planned for children by our experienced room leaders who know their key children very well. Children and their parents and carers let us know about their new interests and staff enable "in the moment" teachable moments.
Our different settings provide exciting opportunities for the children.
